A technical sock is much more than its composition
Lorpen places each fibre type in the position where it is needed most and where there is maximum benefit to the wearer. This layered construction method means enhanced protection for your feet and better durability. Many other sock makers mix the different fibres together in a random manner, relying on the socks' thickness to protect your feet. These socks just don't perform, or last, like Lorpen Socks.
With Lorpen Socks the relevant technical fibre - Coolmax, Thermolite, Outlast, Merino - forms the inner layer. This layer sits against the skin. The fibres used are soft and gentle to touch, enhancing all round comfort, while maximising the fibre's technical properties.
The outer layer is made of a harder wearing, durable Polyamide that covers and protects the specialist technical fibres. Polyamide is very resistant to wear and tear and will stop pilling, friction or abrasion damage. This means Sherpa's Lorpen Socks are extremely long lasting.

Quality, long lasting fit
Lorpen uses Lycra throughout the sock and doubles up on those areas, such as the instep and lower ankle, where more effort is required to hold the sock in place. Most Lorpen socks are 10% Lycra, which means an excellent fit all over the foot and greatly improved comfort. A proper fit means no ruffling or creasing of the sock on top of your foot, or elsewhere, which, in turn, means no pressure points, no abrasion and no blisters.
Most of Lorpen's competitors use a maximum of 5% Lycra in their socks (and some even use lower quality elastane).

|
No blisters!
Sherpa's Lorpen Socks do not have a ridge at the toe box as they use stitch by stitch linking at the seam. This means you won't get any pressure, and thus, no abrasions and no blisters!
|
|
Extra comfort and durability
With Lorpen Socks you don't need to know your left from your right. The left and right double protection provides your feet with additional comfort and your Lorpen socks with extra durability.

Quality Management
All Lorpen Technical Socks are manufactured to the precise guidelines of a Quality Management System in order to guarantee that all socks meet strict tolerances of elasticity, abrasion resistance and finishing. Lorpen's Quality Management System is certified under UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2000.

What sock is that?
Owners of Lorpen Socks usually end up buying others from the range to suit a wider range of conditions. Lorpen makes it easy to manage your collection by weaving the 3 digit sock code into the toe box area. So you always know what to ask for when making a recommendation to a friend, or returning to your retailer for a second pair, or indeed, matching your socks up after washing!
